Our Inspiration
The inspiration behind Makers Manual, firstly came from a need for furniture in our home. With a background in product design and a knowledge of woodworking, we started to research making our own furniture. What we found was the inspiration to start Makers Manual! We realised we could make furniture, that was the equivalent to high-end furniture for a fraction of the cost, just by doing it ourselves! If that isn’t enough, then equally important, we could customize the furniture to suit our home and have the sense of pride in making it ourselves. Also, we confess, we love woodworking and the idea of having an excuse to make our own furniture is very appealing.
