Upgrading a Jobsite Table Saw for Fine Woodworking

Jobsite Table Saw Upgrades for Woodworking

As stock, a jobsite table saw isn’t best suited to fine furniture making. That’s why we’ve upgraded our table saw, so that it’s safer, more accurate, pleasant to use and suited to fine woodworking. These upgrades are such a huge improvement and so easy, we wonder why they aren’t this way as standard.

Upgrading the Table Saw

In the video below, we take you though some upgrades which transformed our table saw. In our opinion woodworker with a jobsite table saw should consider these upgrades.

  1. Add a Zero Clearance Insert Plate
  2. Tweak the Riving Knife Design (a particular issue for our Table Saw model)
  3. Added a Soft Start Module
  4. Added a Paddle Stop
  5. Added a Dedicated Extraction

The Best DIY Fence Extension!

We have what we think is the best DIY Fence Extension out there. A Fence Extension is truly a game changer for a Jobsite Table Saw, but off-the-shelf models are prohibitively expensive. This DIY option is cheap, very easy to make and works fantastically. With in-feed support, easy installation and removal, it won’t damage the saw, is lightweight, scope to bolt on accessories and will remain perfectly straight whatever the season. I really think this is the best fence extension that you can make!

It is a very simple concept but took us a year of thinking about and watching other people’s efforts to perfect.
